6-Day Tanzania Family Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, our Nashivai Safaris representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your lodge in Arusha. Here, you can relax and enjoy a peaceful evening as you prepare for your family adventure to begin the following day.

Day 2: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, your journey begins with a drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a true hidden gem. This scenic park is known for its vibrant birdlife, shimmering alkaline lake, and the famous tree-climbing lions. As you explore, you may spot elephants, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and wildebeest, all set against the dramatic backdrop of the Rift Valley escarpment. After a picnic lunch and game drive, continue to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 & 4: Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park
Your adventure continues with an early drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most remarkable wildlife havens in Africa. Descend into this ancient caldera, home to wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, more than 500 bird species, and the rare black rhino. After a picnic lunch on the crater floor, journey onward to the world-famous Serengeti.

Spend two nights in the Serengeti, where endless plains and abundant wildlife promise incredible sightings. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration—a spectacle of wildebeest and zebra unlike any other on earth.

Day 5: Serengeti to Karatu

After your game drive and picnic lunch, return to Arusha for your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable family safari with Nashivai Safaris.
