7-Day Luxury Safari + Lake Natron Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport, your private Nashivai Safari driver guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your elegant lodge. Take the evening to rest and prepare for the beginning of your luxury safari adventure.

Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Tarangire National Park, known for its vast elephant herds, sweeping savannah, ancient baobabs, and the Tarangire River which sustains life across the park. Along the riverbanks you may encounter giraffe, bushbuck, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and predators such as lion and leopard. Bird lovers will also delight in Tarangire, home to more breeding species of birds than anywhere else in the world.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before continuing your game drive. In the evening, travel to Karatu for a restful overnight stay.

Day 3 & 4: Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park
This morning, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and home to extraordinary wildlife. On the crater floor, discover wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephants, and over 500 bird species. If lucky, you may spot the rare black rhino grazing in the open plains. After a full day of exploration and a picnic lunch, continue into the Serengeti for dinner and overnight.
Spend the next day immersed in the wonders of Serengeti National Park. With its endless plains, diverse wildlife, and seasonal Great Migration, the Serengeti promises unforgettable photographic moments.

Day 5: Serengeti to Lake Natron
Enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti before heading north through Klein’s Gate towards Lake Natron. Remote and strikingly beautiful, Natron’s arid landscapes are shaped by the towering Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano, the “Mountain of God.” This hauntingly unique setting offers a striking contrast to the wildlife-filled parks. Arrive at your camp in time for dinner and relaxation.

Day 6: Lake Natron to Karatu
After an early breakfast, explore the natural wonders of Lake Natron. Visit the Ngare Sero waterfalls, discover bubbling hot springs, and witness the dramatic volcanic scenery. The alkaline waters of Lake Natron attract thousands of lesser flamingos, making this one of the most important breeding grounds for the species. After lunch, journey back to Karatu for an evening at your lodge.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park and Return to Arusha
On your final safari day, visit Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its diverse habitats, abundant birdlife, and legendary tree-climbing lions. The park stretches between the Rift Valley escarpment and the shimmering soda lake, where thousands of flamingos gather seasonally. Spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and if fortunate, lions resting in the branches.
After lunch and a leisurely game drive, return to Arusha where your safari comes to an end.
