Tarangire National Park Day Trip
Tarangire National Park Day Trip
OVERVIEW
Tarangire National Park, named after the Tarangire River, is a vital dry-season refuge where wildlife gathers around the river—often referred to as the “river of warthogs.” This lifeline supports dense vegetation, including acacia woodlands, elephant grass, and lush groundwater forests.
Renowned for its large elephant herds, Tarangire offers unforgettable sightings as these giants gather near the riverbanks. Other frequently seen species include giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest, often shadowed by predators such as lions and leopards.
Bird enthusiasts will be thrilled—Tarangire hosts more breeding bird species than any other place on Earth, making it a must-visit for any safari with Nashivai Safaris.
